earlier, i have received my passport with my new visa from the u.s. embassy and just as i thought, i got a non-annotated five-year b1/b2 visa with multiple entries. lovely! i wouldn't have to endure very long queues in the u.s. embassy again for the next 5 years. yippee! =)

yesterday morning, i had my visa interview again for our annual trip to the states. i was already in the embassy with my teammates at 6:30 am since our scheduled interview was at 7:15 am. the interview with the officer went smoothly and after only 2 hours, my application was again approved - a new record for me. moreover, this time around, i think that i will get a visa with multiple entries. i wasn't really worried about the application because our company is under the priority list of the embassy, and i had been issued visas in the two previous years. i just wanted it to be done with because the first batch of my teammates got their visa applications approved two days ago. so u s of a, here i come again!!!

january 14 to january 20 - gaithersburg, maryland (training)
january 20 to january 25 - washington dc (convention)
january 25 to february 3 - new york city (vacation)

last friday night, we had our company christmas party. as always, it was held at the new world renaissance hotel in greenbelt. what makes this christmas party a very different experience to me is that i actually performed in front of my colleagues this time around. i sang anthony callea’s (australian idol ’05 runner-up) solo version of the song “the prayer” during the program. at first, i was really nervous but i got a grip of myself somewhere in the middle of the song. i’d say, generally, my performance went really well. a lot of people were surprised that i could sing that way because my speaking voice is totally different from my singing voice. the following is an audio recording (i don’t wanna post the video! =P) of my performance that night; so if you have some time to waste, you may listen to it at your own risk. just disregard jem and chrissy’s comments. hahaha!
